Erik ten Hag prepares to enlist another Ajax talent to substitute Martial, as Manchester United supporters urge to 'distance him from transfers.'

Reports suggest Manchester United is considering a replacement for Anthony Martial and has identified another Ajax player for the position.

Reports suggest Manchester United is considering another Ajax player as a replacement for Anthony Martial.

Martial has half a year left on his United contract and is poised to depart as a free agent this upcoming summer, even though United possesses the choice to prolong his agreement for an additional year.

Ten Hag might consider recruiting Brian Brobbey, a former player, to Old Trafford.

As per The Athletic's report, Martial has declined potential transfers in this transfer window, seeking a more lucrative deal as a free agent.

As per The Mirror, Ten Hag might consider recruiting a striker he previously collaborated with, namely Brian Brobbey, aged 21.

The head of Manchester United introduced Brobbey to the Ajax lineup in 2020 and expresses interest in signing him during the upcoming summer.

Even though Ten Hag aims to acquire a forward in January, financial constraints under FFP may restrict the club to securing only one through a loan, eliminating the possibility of obtaining the Dutch forward.

United scouts will persist in monitoring the player in anticipation of a potential summer transfer once Martial departs as a free agent.

Arsenal, actively seeking a forward in this market, have also assessed Brobbey.

Brobbey netted six goals in his inaugural season with Ajax in 2020 before departing for RB Leipzig without a transfer fee.

Following a goalless spell in his 14 outings for the German side, he was loaned back to Ajax in January 2022 before securing a permanent deal with them.

His 12 goals upon his comeback significantly contributed to Ajax and Ten Hag securing their latest Eredivisie championship.

Allegedly, upon his arrival at United in the summer of 2022, Ten Hag directed them to inquire about Brobbey's signing. Nevertheless, he opted to recommit to Ajax after they activated his £16 million buy-back clause.

United has a history of signing players previously managed by Ten Hag, and supporters aren't thrilled about the potential recurrence of this trend.

The Dutch manager acquired Antony for £80 million soon after taking charge of the team and directed the club to secure Sofyan Amrabat on loan last summer; however, both players have not met the anticipated performance levels.

Lisandro Martinez, who previously played for Ten Hag at Ajax, has generally performed well, while Tyrell Malacia has shown less impressive results.

Regarding the Brobbey links, a Twitter fan expressed their opinion, stating:"Keep this man away from the transfers man."

Another wrote: "He's signing another flop."

Brobbey boasts eight goals and has provided four assists in 15 Eredivisie matches this season.
