The PFA is concerned about the well-being of its members, fearing that their welfare will be compromised. Despite requests, Fifa has not yet approved the requirement for a mandatory 28-day off-season break. Maheta Molango, the chief executive of the players' union, strongly criticized the situation, stating, "We've reached a point where individuals are prepared to pursue legal action to address this issue. The subsequent season concludes with the inaugural 48-nation international World Cup."

Premier League CEO Richard Masters has penned a letter to Fifa expressing discontent with the club edition. When questioned about the potential harm to the beautiful game by football authorities, Molango informed Sky News, "They are. However, players are prepared to adopt a firm position. It's challenging because the human body has limitations."
