Fans blast we’re ‘tired of this club’ as Man Utd agree to sell ace for free

Manchester United supporters criticize being 'weary of this team' as the Red Devils consent to transfer a promising player to Sevilla.

Supporters of Manchester United have criticized the team for allegedly consenting to the sale of Mateo Mejia.

Mejia, aged 20, netted three goals and contributed to five more in just nine outings.

Despite his notable displays, there's now speculation that he's on the verge of departing.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Mejia is set to link up with LaLiga team Sevilla in the upcoming week.

The report indicates that Mejia will make the move without any transfer fee, given his contract is set to expire in June.

It states that Manchester United will receive 25 percent from any subsequent transfer of the winger.

Supporters expressed displeasure over the announcement of a talented player departing without a fee as they voiced their concerns on social media.

One fan blasted: "I’m tired of this club.

"They are giving out players with potential for free only to buy them back with a huge sum of money."

A second commented: "What is my club doing, we are in the mud."

A third wrote: "Literally cannot sell a single damn player."

A fourth said: "This club. I’m done. All our best young talent is being sold. Instead of getting rid of the deadwood in the first team."

Another added: "This is poor from us. We should be recouping some kind of fee for him for the sheer fact he’s been in our academy for the past five years."

In 2019, United secured the young player from Real Zaragoza for a fee of £130,000.
