Lingard is currently without a team after departing Nottingham Forest at the conclusion of his contract in the summer.

As reported by Sky Sports News, he has severed connections with his previous representatives in an effort to conclude his quest for a new club.

He recently expressed his thoughts for the first time since this information surfaced by sharing a resolute message on social media.

Lingard is believed to be displeased with the lack of progress in securing contracts despite multiple offers since leaving the City Ground.

Football clubs, both domestically in the Premier League and internationally, have been associated with potential transfers for the 31-year-old player.

He posted a picture on Instagram conveying the message: "My concentration has shifted. I am dedicating my time to personal development.

"I don't anticipate others comprehending my intentions right away. Over time, they will."

A photo of him on a training field was also included, accompanied by the caption: "Positive vibes and good energy exclusively!"

Before terminating his extensive contract with his agents, Lingard had presented himself to Barcelona in an attempt to secure a transfer to Spain. The ex-England international was also associated with a move to Ligue 1 club Lille the previous month. Nevertheless, he is presently unattached, having been without a club for over six months since departing from Forest.

Lingard signed a one-year contract with the Premier League team in 2022 after their promotion.

He proceeded to net two goals and provide two assists in 20 matches before his agreement concluded at the close of June.

Longtime friend Paul Scholes also sent Lingard an explicit message in response to a recent gym selfie.

Lingard is currently without a club following his departure from Nottingham Forest during the summer.
