A young talent from Manchester United scores within three minutes during his first senior EFL appearance following a loan transfer, leaving fans impressed with his astute finishing.

Manchester United prodigy Joe Hugill scored a mere three minutes into his inaugural senior EFL appearance after being loaned to Burton Albion.

Fans were left enamored by the striker's "highly astute" goal against Derby.

Hugill, aged 20, finalized a temporary transfer to League One Burton last weekend.

Promptly thrown into the game at Pride Park on Monday while his team was trailing 2-1, Hugill, entering the pitch in the second half, found himself advancing towards the goal within just three minutes. Seizing upon a pass that dissected the defense, he maintained composure as he approached the box, holding onto the ball until he was almost within range, facing only the goalkeeper.

As the goalkeeper quickly exited, the young player from United unleashed a precise shot, finding the target in the lower corner of the goal.

Hugill's leveling goal sparked euphoria among the away supporters, and those tuning in remotely expressed their admiration on social platforms.

One commenter noted, "That was an extremely astute finish."

Another affirmed, "Given the opportunity, he would find the net."

One noted: “My number 9.”

Another added: “Brilliant finish, go on lad.”

Regrettably for Hugill and Burton, Derby hosts ultimately secured a thrilling 93rd-minute triumph courtesy of Conor Hourihane, solidifying a 3-2 win.

The outcome places the Rams in the third position in League One, with struggling Burton maintaining their 19th spot and merely five points above the relegation zone.

Hugill undoubtedly anticipates achieving additional goals throughout his tenure at his recent club, having netted once in seven matches for Altrincham, a team in the National League, in the previous season.

Despite being recognized as one of the standout players in the Carrington academy, Hugill is yet to debut for the senior Manchester United team.

Hugill has been named on Erik ten Hag's substitute bench on four occasions this season.

Before affiliating with Burton, he signed a fresh Red Devils agreement, securing his stay at Old Trafford until 2026.

Hugill is not the sole young talent from United to leave this month, as players such as Hannibal Mejbri and Mateo Mejia are also making their way out.
