A boost for man Utd as three star set to return on Sunday

 Manchester United receives a positive injury update as three key players are poised to make a comeback on Sunday, although a key summer transfer remains sidelined.


Erik ten Hag is optimistic that Manchester United's injury concerns will soon improve, with the potential return of at least three players – Christian Eriksen, Luke Shaw, and Harry Maguire – for the upcoming match against fellow top-four contenders Tottenham this weekend.


Erik ten Hag has provided a health status report in anticipation of Sunday.


Christian Eriksen was absent from the journey to Wigan due to sickness.


And the pivotal defender Lisandro Martinez is nearing a comeback following a foot issue that kept him sidelined for over three months.


Ten Hag faced the absence of 11 players during the FA Cup victory at Wigan but expressed optimism, stating, "Several players are likely to return. I'm hopeful they'll be available this weekend, including Christian Eriksen and possibly Luke Shaw."

"Perhaps Harry as well. However, Mason Mount requires a few additional days."


Eriksen was absent from the brief journey to the DW Stadium due to illness, and winger Antony also withdrew due to a minor tweak.


When questioned about the challenges posed by these absences, Ten Hag remarked, "It is challenging, but I prefer not to feel frustrated as it won't contribute to supporting the team. Our focus is on delivering optimal performances and results with the available players, and that's our current endeavor."
